I'm out of town on a project (have to be on site over the weekend), and when I checked into my hotel, I got excited because on the other side of the parking lot there is a steakhouse, an ice cream parlor, and a liquor store in the same building. Then it dawned on me when I was younger, I would have looked for a trio that included a strip club instead of the restaurant.

Last training I went to, 2 of the 3 nights I skipped the after training social stuff, ate dinner, went back to my hotel room and was asleep by 9.
The 3rd night I went to dinner and the bar with everybody. Had one drink and took off early. Laughed at the younger guys who were hungover as all get out the next morning, falling asleep in their seats in the training room. A decade ago that was me with a pounding headache trying to stay awake and learn something.
I am old in this industry because I remember a world before HDMI, IP connectivity and everything having firmware.

I knew I was getting old when I had to actually stop and think about how I was going to get into a 10ft high ceiling attic access with a 6ft ladder!

I just went through a moment that ended.
For the last week, I knew my dogs' daily food container was getting low. But I also knew there was a bag in the pantry to replenish the daily container. Now that daily container is down to a serving for one dog.
Went into the pantry for the large bag... only to realize there isn't one.
Worse part, I drove by the pet store last night.
