Let's say you have a Playbar in a TV area and a Play 1 in a kitchen. Can you send TV sound over to the Play 1? Obviously I know you can group devices and zones etc. for streaming music, but can it work the other way? Could one send the news from the living room over to the kitchen ?

Can this be done on a Play-fi system?

I think PlayFi can only send 3.5mm inputs... and then only from some products.
Heos can / MusicCast can, FireConnect is apparently bringing it out soon.
This industry is not getting cheaper and cheaper, we're simply convincing ourselves that we have to push the cheapest option to customers.

Yes, this is a real plus when having a full system with a playbar. You can listen to your favorite game anywhere in the house that you have Sonos running.

It especially gets clients charged up when they realize they can listen to the big game on the patio, where not everybody has a TV.

I'll email a Support box or two and see if I get an answer.

I know the Sonos stuff holds up pretty well, but I love Def Tech in general and of course there's the margin issue....
