I get way more than that. Yeah there's cheaper fixtures but you get what you pay for.
I charge a premium but that also comes with the Kichler 15 year warranty on all fixtures and lifetime warranty on the pro series stainless transformers.

You are in a much bigger market than I am. And the fixtures I use have a lifetime warranty. :)

And I will not do integrated fixtures anymore no matter who makes them. Give me lamps that I can replace quickly and not have to send a fixture back for service.

No judgement from me, was just point out the differences.
Im guessing the fixtures you're using start with a V.

Oh F!@# NO! :)

Although I have used their bayonet base LED's when converting some old line voltage fixtures to LV. But I felt dirty after I ordered them. LOL.

Are you referring to Vista's? I didn't know they were that bad LOL. We don't typically do landscape lights and I had a catalog and thought they looked nice. Ha, that's why I mentioned their name. Considered warned.

I thought he meant another "V" company. One that says they are for professionals but sells their stuff at the same price via their retail website.

No you guys are both right on first instinct.

Drew - yes I was talking about vista. I did one project with ~60 fixtures, over 40 of them were bullets and in the first 3 years half of those had water or moisture.

Bubby - No the V I mentioned to you is a 4 letter company, I get the idea you know which one, lol. Glad you're not using them.
I actually 'lost' a project a couple years ago that was 70 - 80 fixtures along with a nice audio system outside and a little a/v inside. After I gave proposal the homeowner asked me about the 4 letter "V" products and had another estimate from someone who proposed them for the project. I told the homeowner i'm not using them and explained several reasons why. He went with the other proposal using that junk.

Funny thing is - that was approx. 2 years ago. I got a call from him this past summer and left a message he wants to discuss me doing some work there, LOL. I wonder what it was, something different or replacing or repairing the great equipment that he chose. I didnt call him back.

Anyone use V***? Says all brass, UL and lifetime warranty. Is it just because they sell direct?

You get what you pay for. Is a retail cost of 30.00 for a fixture a legitimate fixture? Who cares if it's a lifetime warranty, at those costs they will just toss you replacements when the originals fail.
A 30.00 fixture is not quality, it's in line with home depot and made for diy's, not professionals.
Just my opinion.
I'd like to know how much quality control is in that budget when they're retailing for ~30.00.
I'd like feedback from anyone using them too.

Have been using Kichler for about 8 years since we switched from Hadco.

We will only use integrated fixtures because moisture is what kills these as previously mentioned. Kichler Gen III LED integrated is coming out this year which has adjustable lumen output and beam spread similar to WAC, but sealed to moisture much better (I have seen both disassembled after water testing).

There is a lot of creativity that goes along with a proper landscape lighting job, so I wouldn't recommend jumping in if it's not an interest. Always a shame to see poor outdoor lighting design.

In part yes. But as Zohan mentioned, $30 for a solid brass fixture is way too cheap for it to be quality.

But I have used their bayonet LED's because it was the easiest place to get them.

Interesting. Is Kichler the only one with integrated assuming that means no lamp? How will the lumen and spread by adjustable?

What do you do when you have a failure. I know they are rare, but they do happen even with Kichler.

Really don't see moisture problems in quality fixtures. As long as the lamp is IP65+ I don't worry about it.

So how does Kichler compare to Luminaire? The color changing looks cool to me and I like it! Thinking about getting some But I know nothing about Luminaire nor Kichler.

No one does Luminaire for a comparison? Worth it? Overpriced? Better stuff somewhere? Da bomb?
