You need to be a bit more specific. FX Luminaire is a brand. What are they wanting to illuminate? House, landscape, hardscape, pool or other? Are they wanting multiple colors or zone control?

Need a lot more info.

Typically landscape lighting is bought through distribution.
I've never been direct with any company nor have I heard of anyone being direct (besides with the knockoff companies).

VERY nice stuff. Also the most expensive solution on the planet.

This Luminair Z stuff has sure caught my attention!

True. We are considering looking for a lower priced backup. Any experience with Kichler?

Kichler is what i've been using for ~6 years.
Cant beat the warranty and it's good stuff.

I think Caste and Unique Lighting are way more expensive.

Kichler is very good, but you can't mark it up as much. Plenty of good quality solid brass fixtures out there for half the price. I sell them installed for $250.

Do you guys do a lot of landscape lighting??? It seems like, typically, we have the landscapers provide and install most systems. We do have a couple high end designers/specifiers/installers where that's all they do but that's not common.

Vista is another good brand. Also WAC is making some pretty amazing LED floods. They have adjustable floods where you can change the light output as well as the beam spread internally. Swiss army knive of landscape floods...

Landscape lighting is part of my repertoire and has been for a while. If I could just do that along with outdoor audio systems i'd be real happy.

No offense but vista blows. Did a couple of larger jobs with them. Their "sealed" fixtures all had water in them. That's when I went to Kichler.
I've seen those WAC's, Cast also has those 1 for all fixtures but again, they're not sealed. Kichler was the only sealed fixture when I was looking to make the switch, maybe there's others now but I havent seen yet.
Moisture is what kills fixtures. If a fixture has a replaceable bulb, it is NOT a sealed fixture, gasket or not. Kichler is 100% sealed.

Say whaaaatt...
I get way more than that. Yeah there's cheaper fixtures but you get what you pay for.
I charge a premium but that also comes with the Kichler 15 year warranty on all fixtures and lifetime warranty on the pro series stainless transformers.

Landscape lighting has replaced AV in the profit column. That is, AV from 15 years ago when you could earn a great paycheck.

So how does Kichler compare to Luminaire? The color changing looks cool to me and I like it! Thinking about getting some But I know nothing about Luminaire nor Kichler.
