Nice. can you make "bundled" product and pricing? Yes, you can create your own items, systems, subcategories. You guys owe it to yourself to try Portal -- it's free after all for dealers.

You guys owe it to yourself to try Portal -- it's free after all for dealers. Is it free? Like legit free? I tried it a few years ago but didn't care for it. Was a pain to prove who I was an authorized dealer for and didn't like the proposal structure. After making such a huge investment in dtools I didn't want to throw that away. But recently after moving computers and spending well over 5 hours on transferring it and it's still not right I might be open to trying this again! Proposal looks nice!

Is it free? Like legit free? Totally free. If I can do it, you can do it. I tried it a few years ago but didn't care for it. Was a pain to prove who I was an authorized dealer for and didn't like the proposal structure. The only thing I remember doing was sending Portal a disty PO from your last/recent order. Do that with your 4-5 main guys and you're done. After making such a huge investment in dtools I didn't want to throw that away. But recently after moving computers and spending well over 5 hours on transferring it and it's still not right I might be open to trying this again! D-tools still does more, if I remember. Couldn't tell you what at this point, probably more enterprise level stuff, or drawings, not sure ..... stuff I obviously haven't missed. Proposal looks nice! Thanks!

I also tried it years ago and didnt like it. I decided to try it again a couple weeks ago and i will be using this going foward for ANY small jobs, and jobs that dont require design and engineering.. its great for those types of jobs and can be banged out VERY quickly.
Plus the fact I that i dont need to visit ANY of my distros sites to get quick pricing. Can access it all from portals site.. Its even better then some distro sites and as new stuff comes out they update the database with a couple days..
From making the proposal to the POs its very fast, PLUS then syncs to quickbooks... and you get 1% back on all POs.. but I Still dont get how this is free. Not sure how they make there money !!

$$ come from the supplier side. There was a thread on IP if you search supplystream. Supplystream is now free thread. In post #7. Sure they monetized things in other ways too.

With all due respect folks, Just Add Power is already in D-Tools as a manufacturer. The person responsible for keeping it up to date did leave the company a few months ago. I've logged into our DTConnect account and have verified that dealers are using it daily. I will make sure we get the latest 2G/3G models added to the catalog ASAP.

Who is responsible for adding sku's to dtools? Is is the manufacturers responsibility or Dtools themselves?

I asked them how to add/update our SKU's and they told us what to do. I can't see how they could be psychic and know what/when to add and update the SKU's.
