We've installed many door birds with no problems until today. Had everything working perfectly, then all of a sudden the button stopped working. No matter how you press it will not work. Video works, audio works, ir works, button is lit, but no notification to app. Rebooted, changed ip address, put on dhcp, nothing helped.

Bad doorbird? Is there a way to factory reset? Very annoying!

We have a unit that was claimed to be sending false notifications..... No one pushed the button, yada yada yada. Crazy client so who knows. DB sent a replacement button. We have not heard from her since.... But we also had her uninstall and reinstall the app at the same time. Not sure what the problem was really but DB thought maybe the button was flaky.

Easy to pull it out and test continuity.

It does sound like this one doesn't work, and working for a few minutes is no proof of anything. Hey, I once had two Yamaha receivers, different models, DOA, within the same week. No bad ones in the fifteen years since.

In fact, if I read this right, it could actually be a bad SPST switch in the form of an actual button!

I've had to replace at least two that were acting like you described

We have one that's doing pretty much what you describe... Replacing in the next few days.
I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV.
My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

I talked to doorbird. I really hope this does not become a pattern. Ours was defective and needs to be replaced. We can't charge the client for this so we lose half a day. They don't make stuff like they used to.
