I am upgrading a clients CCTV camera system with a digital watchdog A1 DVR and using their AHD cameras. The issue i am having is that the original analog system i put in was supplying composite video feeds, which were converted via video-to-IP converters, to an Elan G! system so that the individual camera feeds were showing up on the keypads throughout the house. The new DVR has a built in loop out feature, but it loops out in native resolution. so how can i convert the AHD signal loop to a composite signal to feed into my IP Converters, or the other option being are there video-to-IP converters out there that will accept AHD and would be compatible with ELan G? I am trying to feed out a total of 12 cameras

I thought the A1 DVRs only have an HDMI output. What model are you using?

HDMI out to HDMI 2 way splitter (if you need the HDMI output locally) then to a HDMI to composite convertor.
Did this last week, looked like crap on the TVs but worked.

the 16 channel unit, along with the HDMI, VGA, and single composite spot monitor, has two additional , what appear to be, VGA connectors that allow u to connect what looks like a VGA to 8 BNC adaptor. Using both of these ports u can loop out all 16 individual channels. As i stated, they loop out at their native resolution, and I need someway to convert this AHD resolution video down to composite to feed to the Elan system video-to-IP converters so they show up on the keypads

I've wondered, too, if there isn't some way to just look at the signal from one of these cameras without using a DVR's converting capability. For system setup, we have a 7" monitor that does the conversion, but it's more than $300.

There is no cheap solution. The first result I get when searching "AHD to composite video conversion costs $129, and that would be per channel: [Link: cctvcamerapros.com].

I haven't used this, and I see prices from $50 to $280 for single channel converters. It ain't cheap to do this!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

actually, that one wont work cause the BNC output from it is native...so AHD signal in, AHD out via the BNC

Okay. I mentioned a range of prices, meaning that's not the only one available, so do some research.
