hdcp is the issue. ZeeVee offers modulators that will take unencrypted signals and convert it to a qam channel. They will not pass encrypted signals.

Examples of unencrypted signals would be digital signage or PC sources.

Look at Metra

This is one half of the solution. [Link: metrahometheater.com]

This is the 2nd generation of these that switch faster. We have a bunch of the 1st generation stuff out in builder models and they work. No control over the coax so that will need to be RF or another wire.

Does the 2nd gen still have a delay with audio if you need the analog audio?

Also PVI. Unlike ZeeVee, it DOES do HDCP with no problem. I've used a few and they have been awesome. TiVo, Bluray, Xfinity boxes, Roku, and some HikVision CCTV HD recorders & cameras (using TVI to HDMI convertors); is what I've used over them.

Yes, it does.

This is a real time RF Modulation Encode/Decode system.
Think of it like this:
In the same room you have two displays (same or different brands) each with a connected cable box.
Even if both are on the same channel the audio will not sync at the same time (much experience with this) due to variances within the Set top box and the displays, and that is at the end of line. When you include the encode process the total delay will be somewhere between .5 and .75 secs depending on EOL device.

Add to that the cost effective nature of our M3B products, and you wind up with a product that is very good for combined 1080P A/V distribution but not for headend audio break out. For jobs that require that (or Dolby Digital) a better choice is products like the Zektor HDBaseT Matrix or IP systems (JAP).

Is the audio or the video delayed? If audio, would a time delay sync it?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Tom:
If the Audio is broke out at the head end, there will be a .5 to .75 sec delay for the video.
If Audio is broken out at the display, there is NO delay.

So, Tom, you just run your cabling out to the display, break out the audio there, and run the audio the hundred feet back to the rack.

Amusing.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
