I have a customer with a dead nevo Q50 that I am replacing with a URC mx-990.

The system does have 2 leviton z wave dimmers logged directly to the nevo remote and controlled via widget.

URC discontinued the Lutron MRF-A600 dimmer that worked with their CCP products.

I am not a total control dealer and really not looking to become one

I called Lutron for possible left over product and came up empty. Their tech told me the MRF-6cl was basically the same 418 mhz dimmer just made led friendly and that is "should" still program the same as the old switch. Just curious if anyone has tried this.
One thing I have learned in this industry. It is easier to pull a wire than it is to push one.

We have a Dimmer and a few Switches left in stock. PM me if interested.

They must have been referring to the LUTRON MRF2-6cl.

Not a urc part number, its a lutron part number

I've never heard of anyone using a Lutron version successfully with the URC remotes direct.

Hmmm, Interesting concept... Who's got a wireless maestro dimmer laying around and is willing to try it? It would be rally neat if it worked. The URC/Lutron products were great for simple setups. I'm sorry they're gone. I getting tired of buying on e-bay, that option will end eventually...

URC Lutron dimmers are programmed by pushing and holding the dimmer button for 8 seconds, waiting for led's to scroll, then pressing the "off" button on the remote (setup for lutron/URC dimmers.)

Lutron Maestro wirelesss dimmers are programmed by pushing and holding the dimmer button for 6 seconds, then pressing the "on" button of pico remote your want to link to the dimmer.

I had the client order the dimmers from ebay. I do however have another client who I believe has that Part # Lutron dimmer that he installed in his theater. but uses elan G! for his control system. I have a service appointment later next week and I'll bring a URC remote along and give it a try.

I just tried it with an MRF2-MTHW. (program/setup the same as the MRF2-6cl) It would not work with the old Lutron/URC codes sent from an MX-850. I tried the exact same codes with a URC/Lutron MRFA-6MLV... It worked perfectly.

As expected. I never heard there was any chance of that working until thread. Thanks for confirming it does not work.

They must be talking about the ones with the little IR window. No RF. Tipped me off when he said it worked with a MX-850

Huh? MX-850's work perfectly with the URC/Lutron dimmers and switches directly via RF. No Ir involved. The dimmer tested was an MRFA-6MLV.

see...

URC product, no "little ir window"

Wow that's a big revelation for me on that one. Always had it in my head it started with MX-900 and 950. Thanks!
