Y'all didn't catch it?

When a story begins with "I swear", it's a dead give away that there's some serious level of BS to follow.... :-)

2 Kinds of people - those who believe in magic, and those who don't

Actually, there are 3 kinds. The third being those of us that thought our clients drank too much and made shit up, then we saw something at 8:45am that has no other explanation. I'm still looking for a logical answer, but no one else was around.

My friend, you are confused with when a story starts with "Hey y'all, watch this" means call the funeral home instead of dialing 911.

You can stand in that section under the stairs and look both ways and see through the whole first floor. If anyone is upstairs, you can hear them. You can quickly tell if someone is there.

I've heard lots of stories. One being the woman that people see hung herself in one of the houses. One of the guys on the golf course maintenance went out one morning to work on a sprinkler head. It was about 6:00am and he shut off the whole irrigation line. He bent down and the sprinkler went off and sprayed him in the face and then he heard a woman laughing at him.

I do not believe in ghosts/spirits/demons/gods/magic etc. I have seen absolutely zero evidence that any of it exists...with 1 exception.

When i was about 12 years old i live in a "4 flat". A 2 story 4 unit apartment building that was owned and occupied by my mother/grand parents/uncle and the 4th apartment was rented to a coworker of my grandmothers. A wealthy old lady who worked for the department of health with my grandmother. She lived in our building because my grandmother and mother helped take care of her. All of the apartments had back door access to an enclosed 2 story porch. No one in the building locked their back door ever because we all just came and went as we pleased in each others apartments.

One thanksgiving i went upstairs to deliver her a plate of food. I knocked but no answer so i let myself in and found her face down on the floor dead. About 3 weeks later i am walking up the back stairs to my apartment and i looked across the way (about 40 feet) to her back door. At that moment i could swear i saw her ghost standing there looking at me. I ran into my apartment and locked every lock and turned on every light on my way to the furthest point of the apartment and i sat there in terror waiting for this ghost to appear. I fell asleep hiding behind a chair in the living room.

The next morning i woke up convinced that ghosts were real and that i had seen one. I walked to the back porch and looked across and there it was again! This time though it was day time and i could see that it was just a shirt hanging on a nail with a hat and umbrella hanging. It looked like the shape of a person standing at the door way. I didn't see a ghost...i saw laundry.

Fins, I believe you. Especially after having lived in a haunted place for 5 years.

What was that like?

Or, it has "True story" somewhere.

The other kind that usually has the same result is "Here- hold my beer".

Not fun.

Doorknobs turning on their own.
Getting tapped on the shoulder when there was no one there.
Cold spots that came and went.
Misty apparitions in the middle of the night.

Why do ghosts always appear with clothes on ? I didn't know fabric could make it to the "other side".
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.
