Other than Sonos, what other streaming audio source options are available that will connect to Apple Music? The customer want to utilize their existing Apple Music account but I am having issues locating a streaming device that will connect to Apple Music.

I've said it before - all the Sonos wannabe's are fails because they don't support Apple Music. Not too many seem to think that's a big deal though...And when it comes to Spotify - Playfi Apps and MusicCast app will not control Spotify within their app.

If i'm using Crestron, I'm going to use Sonos. If I'm not using Crestron, I'm still using Sonos. Not sure why you would want to use anything else????

However, the Apple TV has Apple Music....... Or you could just use Sonos and be done!

Space is limited for equipment, and with my experience adding external sources (which the customer has requested) is a PIA with Sonos.

I did ask in the Crestron forum if anyone knows when Sonos integration is coming to Pyng, and at this point it is an unknown.

never add external sources TO a sonos. Always treat it as a source component. OR a speaker.

All kinds of devices support airplay. Client selects airplay source, then goes to Apple Music on his phone or tablet. Done.

Or use an AppleTV. Navigate to Apple Music. Done.

I have not seen any third party streamers that support AppleMusic besides Sonos.

Does Sonos still integrate Spotify directly into the app? I thought that was removed in favour of the Sonos Connect method?

Apple Music is apparently being readied for other apps - when / whether this happens is simply conjecture.
This industry is not getting cheaper and cheaper, we're simply convincing ourselves that we have to push the cheapest option to customers.

Spotify has gone to Spotify Connect. They want everyone in their app now.

For now, you can. Who knows what will happen in the future? But that could apply to everything else as well as Spotify. Nothing is forever anymore.

Something is changing at the end of the month with Spotify and Sonos.
