I'd normally spec Bel Cantos, but the budget will not bear them in this case. Essentially I need 3 high quality Class D Mono block amplifiers [for heat and power use reasons] to refit an existing system. They need to be 4ohms stable and provide 200-300watts and balanced inputs. Surprisingly, I'm not having much luck finding anything like the Bel Cantos.
Anyone have suggestions?
Do the sources have balanced output? If not, there's not much reason to worry about it unless it's just for the common mode noise rejection. BTW- the Parasound aren't complimentary balanced, they're quasi-balanced but using cables with XLR does lower the noise floor.
I have a Parasound A23 and while it's not 200W-300W into 8 Ohms, it's rated for 4 Ohms and they show heat output on their spec sheets. Mine has never become hot.
