I had the old GenieGo which worked pretty well until it was completely shut down by DTV. I was told I had to get a Genie DVR to be able to transfer my recorded shows to an IPad for "off-line viewing. I got the Genie.
Now no matter which IPad or IPhone I try there is no option to download any of the recorded shows-- I see them and they stream to the phone-- I can watch live TV on the phone, but I cannot get the little download arrow for any recordings on the Genie. The arrow shows up for a second and then disappears.
So frustrating. 2 calls to DTV-- disconnected after long waits--
According to everything I've read online it should just work--
Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Power cycled DirecTV, iOS devices? Reinstalled the apps on iOS devices? Can you go on the directv device and force it to forget the iOS device, only say this because that's how it works on Dish.
