I have a customer with the above remote that's screen(the remote) has gone white. Is this adjustable, fixable or replaceable(the remote not the screen on the remote). The remote's hard buttons are working.

Thanks in advance.

Not too much you can do about it.

Im pretty sure urc disco'd the mx880 so I doubt they could help you with a discount replacement. Maybe a urc disty has some new "old" stock still available. We found some new mx-850's recently this way

There was an mx-880i on eBay a couple weeks ago, maybe it's still available? I'm pretty sure you can get a regular 880, and swap the "I" rf board into the replacement remote thus making it work with your "I" series Mrf box.

The screen on the 880 is not replaceable, it's a ribbon cable from the screen soldered/glued directly to the pc board. Once the screen or its bond to the board is bad, the remote is done.

URC usually keeps stock for replacements for a few years. Check with them.

Great info thanks! I wondered about that because I've got a couple of 880s with white screens and a couple of 810s from takeover jobs I womdered if I could fix.

Anytime you can repair someones remote right there on the spot it's great brownie points indeed.
