I have an install tomorrow and they don't have internet, yet. She told me she uses her tenants when she needs it.....
So, I'd need to mount the Playbar and TV tomorrow and then come back at a later date when the internet is set up.
Can I at least get the PB to work with the TV? I'm assuming it needs to connect to the internet and update. Wondering if I hard wire it to a router w/ wifi and connect my phone, I can set it up....worst case I'll have to do it when I come back.

PSS,

If PLAYBAR will be the only Sonos unit at the location and she will be using an Android controller, you could borrow her Android and setup the PLAYBAR (and Android) at a location that has an Internet connection. If there are other Sonos units, all Sonos units and the controllers must be using the same software release. It is very unlikely that a freshly out of the box PLAYBAR will match the site software. Further, if you freshly download controller software, it will always be the most recent version. (which changed very recently)

It's possible, but messy to connect through your phone to the Internet. You should experiment with this before going onsite.

You could also setup PLAYBAR at your shop, then set PLAYBAR to Autoplay TV and respond to her cable box volume control. You will not be able to use Trueplay without WiFi. Going forward it will be best if you give her email address when setting up the system.

Regardless, someone will need to connect PLAYBAR to the new network, (wired or wireless) after the network is started. It may be practical to temporary use the tenant's WiFi, but this is not something that I would attempt.

I just mouted TV and PB. Will just wait to set up PB when cable co. installs her internet. I didn't think it'd work without an internet connection but just threw it out there to see. Thanks for the input11

As a dealer, you should use your own email address. Any price reduction offers directly from Sonos will come to your email.

I recommend you set it up with your internet before you go on site and don't use a wifi hot spot.

Are you talking about future product sales directly from Sonos? That doesn't really bother me.
I believe as a direct Sonos dealer your "new accounts" (via email registration) is what keeps your "stats" up to stay a direct dealer not necessarily product purchases. I may be wrong but though. Do you or anyone else on RC know otherwise?

That doesn't really matter since Sonos now offers discounts RIGHT IN THE APP
