Customer wants DirecTV and Xfinity in several locations. Only one coax running to each location. Can it be done without running wire?

Think you're out of luck. DTV has a slick wireless setup that may work for you.

Do you want a research project?

It's been months since I looked at the documentation on the products I discuss here but I believe cable signals are limited to frequencies 450 MHz and below.

Sonora has all sorts of diplexers to do all sorts of things, one of which is to diplex SOME cable frequencies on a DirecTV SWM distribution system. Contact them for assistance.

I have a client who bought a flip* in which all CAT cables had been cut.** Only RG6 went throughout the house. With the help of Sonora' engineers, these things are on the RG6 network:
*a LAN connected to the internet via DECA
*several DirecTV receivers
*Two Genies, one of which uses RF clients (just the way it worked out)
*LAN connections for streaming services in two locations
*A hard-wired computer connection in the office

And, potentially, we were going to add a baseband video signal from the ONE camera that the previous owners left intact; we might have done this at baseband or on a TV channel. Sonora has diplexers for both of those approaches.

There's wifi in the house but nothing about the RG6 system and all those diplexers and thing is involved in that. It comes from the main router.

*Never buy a flip.
**Yes, we could have run new CAT cables, if we had wanted to rip open walls. The flip dudes closed up under-house access, too, so we would have to have ripped open the floor somewhere. So, yes, we might have run more CATs, but it was decided not to do so.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

+1 for Sonora, maybe having a solution. "Do you have a product that can duplex an MSO signal utilizing MoCA with a DirecTV signal". Then you could also consider modulating a system with control DuJoir? This would be limited (today) to a 1080p format by a company like ZeeVee.

**diplex
