I have a client with a small office that needs two sources going to two zones (HDMI feeding the TVs, analog audio feeding ceiling speakers). I spec'd a Sony STR-DN1070 because it has two HDMI outs. I've been programming the remotes (URC) and can't seem to find any codes for what Sony calls the "HDMI zone." The URC database doesn't seem to have much and I couldn't find anything on the Interwebs, either.

Previous models had a dedicated Z2 HDMI output that followed the Z2 input (like the DN1050). This model has A/B outputs and the B output can be assigned to "HDMI zone." Changing the Z2 source doesn't affect the HDMI zone with the DN1070. You can set the HDMI zone to "source" in the GUI but that follows the zone 1 source. You can change the HDMI zone in the GUI but you have to do it from zone 1 display. You can also change it with the Zone Select button and wheel on the AVR but that's not so convenient from the other room.

Am I missing something? Anyone know if there is discrete IR for the HDMI zone?

Press HOME, then select [Setup] – [HDMI
