Anyone here that knows me based in Charlotte and interested in catching up?

From the 5th till 10th of March i'll be there for the IWCE show for the blind industry doing some due diligence to see if it's viable to launch our product in the US.

Anyone?

I'm buying dinner if you run a business and i can pick your brain for a while.
I guarantee I'll tell you the truth and I guarantee I'll tell you what you need to know but I can't guarantee that I'll be telling you anything you want to hear.

Damn, I would love to drive up and see you.
But with all of the time that I have been on the road lately, my wife would divorce me, take all of what little money I have and then kill me.

What's he best way to get in touch while you're here?

I would like to meet, although I'm not sure there's anything in my brain that will be of use. Charlotte is but a one hour drive.

Might be able to convince my brother in law to meet up (his brain would be good to pick).

There's the NASCAR hall of fame. And there is...

Nope, I got nothing else.

Edit: I did forget a couple things. There's the Billy Graham library, and there's the US National White Water center, if they got the brain eating bacteria out of the water and opened back up yet.

Man, that's rough. Probably the same situation i'm going to end up in though while i'm getting this thing off the ground, lol. Assuming i can get all my ducks in a row and your president doesn't create some new law that makes it too difficult to invest in the US.

Make one of his kids a shareholder. You'll be fine.

Every year up until this year, the show i'm going to has been in Vegas. I'd much rather have gone there. Apparently there are some old mansions you can go look at if you are impressed by big houses.

Like TSS, I'm about an hour a way too. I can't fathom why anyone would pick Charlotte for a show. There's nothing to do, the food isn't great, and the strip clubs are too uptight. Last time I went to a concert there, some guy in front of me stayed on his phone texting the whole time and never looked up. the city made Sports Illustrated's list of worst cities for football. Their comment was during the fourth quarter you will find more people in the beer lines than in their seats.

The USNWC is indeed back up and running. Not sure what they have available in the winter, but it's definitely a good way to kill a day. If they are actually doing full activities, you can ride a raft around a man made, class IV river.

There's a lot of Charlotte love on this thread...

There are actually plenty of good places to eat in Charlotte, as there would be in any city of reasonable size. You just have to know where to look. Or, at least there are in the burbs to the south of Charlotte (and Pineville) which is as far as I ever go. Our extended family does an eat out once a month, so I've been to a lot of places in that area that I'd never have known about (each person picks in turn, and a couple of them work in the food distr business so they know all kinds of places.)

You could rent a really loud, jacked up four wheel drive truck and run screaming up and down the road in front of my place. That seems like a really popular activity.

One that I really liked, and happen to remember, was a little place called The Cajun Yard Dog. Everyone in the family unit really liked it a lot. I'm not a super-spicey kind of guy, but they have non-lethal food there as well.
