Just seen a story on CE Pro about some new home cinema design software launching at ISE 2017. It's created by the same guy who did the £4.5 million home cinema for a big-wig Hollywood director (UK installers will know him as Guy Singleton).

Looks like a pretty interesting piece of kit. Apparently it took the creator 5 minutes to create an entire 9.1.4 Dolby Atmos custom cinema design, complete with downloadable support documents including 3D CAD placement drawings, cinema specification data, a bill of materials, topped off by 1920 x 1080 photo quality renders.

Keep seeing software like this, wonder if this one will be any good.

i know what i will be doing when i start building my house... what a great tool. hopefully it can interface into d-tools and the like for a very comprhensive design and experience.

That's pretty nice. I'm going to be moving soon and will be making some pretty big changes to the new place... and have already discovered the power of being able to render a realistic photo of a proposed space, versus a normal line floorplan.
