Can anyone help me understand the hex code structure for JVC? I am looking at the PDF they have and I can't make heads or tales of it. I need the masking for Custom 1 & 2 (Page 34) [Link: support.jvc.com]

Header: ! (Page 5) Unit ID: x89 (Page 6) Command Byte 1: I (Page 26) Command Byte 2: S (Page 26) Parameter Byte 1: M (Page 26) Parameter Byte 2: A (Page 26) Parameter Byte 3: x30 (Custom 1) (Page 34 End Code: x0A (Page 8)
So Custom 1 would be: !x89ISMAx30x0A It's a mix of ASCII and HEX so you would have to format it appropriately.
All HEX Custom 1: x21 x89 x49 x53 x4D x41 x30 x0A Custom 2: x21 x89 x49 x53 x4D x41 x31 x0A

It works !!!
All HEX Custom 1: 21 89 01 49 53 4D 41 30 0A Custom 2: 21 89 01 49 53 4D 41 31 0A
Thanks mark65 for the codes. I had to add the 3 set of numbers (01) since they were missing and remove the x's.
