This is a joke?

Some people like the soap opera look that Samsung creates out of the box. Then again if you know how to setup a tv than you should never be explaining anything about the picture

just watched a 75" XBR with DTV being fed to it by a JAP system. The picture is great, even though it was some crappy morning talk show.

Sad there is so few choices anymore. Still have an Elite sitting unused in my spare room.

I have a Runco I'd like someone to pick up.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Sony

Have a XBR65X850C. Great TV, great picture. Still have to dive into HDR and 4k.

Samdung with any smart features are trouble, IMHO

I ended up getting the XBR65X850D. I only had to tweak it a little to get a really good picture. Thanks for all the input!

Just curious what your set up procedure is for a TV. I must admit, my adjustments are very basic. Take the TV off torch mode, bring the contrast down a bit, maybe tweak the brightness a little - turn off or reduce motionflow. I've been doing mostly Samsung. Far from sophisticated.
I'm asking because so many here seem to favor Sony's picture over Samsung. In general I like the Samsung picture better-not so much for good quality HD material, but the standard crappy compressed Xfinity signal looks better to me on Samsung than Sony.
