Just signed up with a disty who has these on the line card. Looks compelling. I was wondering if anyone here has used them and could offer an opinion?

Thanks.

I've used em.

We have a few installs with them all in NYC HIGH UP where the PH has a roof deck.

We've only used the 8ohm speakers but they sound great and the clients love 'em

Yes

They "float" if not properly anchored. ;)

Yet, I want a solution I do not have to dig a hole for

That makes sense because they look like a buoy, lol

What if you dug a gravel bed under them?

I have a few system installed. I generally go for at least 4 speakers, the sub, and the crown amp. It is always impressive. The 70V units have tap options via a screwdriver. Less labor and less speaker wire with the 70V setup.

One line I have used to convince clients to go for it ( they are not inexpensive )...

" You won't have to tell your guests how good these are... they will tell you" ! So far it has worked well pushing them over the edge. No one has ever said to me that they thought it would be better. I "always" place the speakers out from the house facing in, "never" on the house facing out. Keep the band in the back yard where they belong... not on top of your head.

I got tired of the continued warranty repair route of Rockustics, Speakercraft. I do like the "look" of a "rock" better ( even the dinosaur poop ones ), but they simply won't hold up in Florida. I sold NEAR back in the day and Terra is the continuation of that excellent product.

Honestly they seem pricey to me compared to the typical outdoor box speakers available, but the build quality is second to none. They don't exaggerate the frequency response in the specs UNLIKE most of the others and this can be a disadvantage if you get a someone comparing specs per dollar.

Terra Speakers sound awesome. They are the real deal! The sound like higher end indoor speakers. The bass is flat, not peaked up. You will love them! Nice peeps over there too!

They are great people...I have not been able to pull our basic residential business over with sales due to cost but we have used a bunch of 70V ones. They have been flawless in a demanding outdoor rooftop install in downtown DC. The only service I have provided in 5 years and 3 years is a couple of busted grills.
