Do I need the pro bridge to tie into C4? if not aside from the 50 device limitation (that wont ever get hit) and the shading option is there any difference between caseta base and pro?

Ive worked with caseta before, and im almost certain the client didnt have the pro kit as it was installed by his electrician before i was ever brought into the mix.

I lost my C4 lighting to caseta. Im providing it since i can make a few bucks but this sucks. Hard to argue with the price and capability of Caseta especially when tied to a control system :( Too bad the switches are Fugly

To each their own. I was on a job last month that was decked out with C4 lighting with annoying and ugly led lights. I thought to myself, "this is the shit that brendon loves?"

If the LED lights were all over it then the LED feedback wasn't programmed properly at all. Ive run across it before. C4 lighting and the configurable keypads really are quite elegant.

To each their own. If it said URC on the back of the same switch, you'd say how awful they are :-D

Yes you need the Pro bridge. It has the 3rd party integration. The standard Caseta bridge only works with the Lutron app.

You have to have the Pro for integration. The dimmers aren't pretty but you can hide them and use C4 keypads!.

It's got to be intentional. The Caseta integrates with control systems, home kit, alexa, etc... and if they looked decent, they would lose way more Ra2 sales.

As others said you need the pro bridge. Integration is super easy. I use it to control some Serena shades at my place. I have a few caseta outlet dimmers in guest rooms.

Also allows you to use the Pico remote in programming.

Perfect for controlling lights etc from the driveway, since it's RF there's no check-in time like the little ZigBee remote control units.

I got some of the black picos. 1 for lighting and 1 for shades with the night light and then the matching 2 gang trim and double stuck them to the side of my night stands. Its really really nice. Too bad c4 cant make a remote like the picos!

If they would allow a subset of the Ra2 dimmers, switches and fan controls on the Smart Bridge Pro it would be the most popular wireless lighting system out there.

Still have to have a main repeater and use software outside the app to add and configure devices.

Cant use lutron sensors with caseta. THAT along makes it worthless as automated lighting IMO requires sensors.

Well, not worthless, but sensors make it SOOOOO much more powerful.
