Anyone have the inside goop on Denon's issues with Pandora? I have a client who had it for one day before it went down. She has asked for an update every month.... since mid June.

I really wish I could give her an answer. The only one I can think of is "I can be over next Tues to swap out the Denon with a Yamaha."

Does she have an iPhone? If so, she can use AirPlay to send it to the AVR.

11 products still waiting...
This fills me with hope for Heos.

At least Pandora is only in a handful of countries so the delays are only stuffing them up in a few markets.

Is this a new thing, or is it the same thing from 6-7 months ago?

Some Denon's have been faulting since 2012...
The fix has only started to be rolled out now.
D&M blame Pandora.
Pioneer have had their issues.
Onkyo and Yamaha have been blissfully been getting on with business...

My clients began experiencing inability to authenticate issues in the early Fall.

I don't even mention streaming as a feature of the AVRs I install.

Kind of like the "smart tv" features on most displays, if they don't ask, I don't offer. Go outboard device wherever possible.

I used to show clients how to utilize airplay on Marantz receivers. But it seems to be a feature that works when it wants to. I notice it on my own 6011 too. Not a big deal to me to reboot my own AVR but in an attempt to avoid the 7pm Saturday phone calls, I don't utilize it for clients anymore.

Want airplay? Here is your Appletv.

You will still have issues (Yamaha dealer here). Go over a Roku.

This.

For AVRs and smart TVs both.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Take a look at Chromecast Audio - $35 and a phone or tablet.

You can also probably use the Blu Ray player, assuming they have one. Or even a Smart TV with an digital audio out cable.

Sony ES...No stupid built in things, just installer features.

Add streaming device like HEOS-Music Cast or sonos (if you are still supporting them) and never deal with a service call like this again.

NEVER use built in apps for TVs or AVRs. ALWAYS use a dedicated streamer
