I'm setting up Luxul's wireless bridge kit, the XWO-BKT1. When sold as a kit both APs are preconfigured in bridge mode on 5G and as an access point on 2.4G. I was reading that Luxul recommends that this configuration is preferred for a wireless bridge up to 500 meters; beyond that distance they suggest setting up the bridge on the 2.4G. I'll be bridging between a barn and a gate at a distance of almost half a mile (right around 800 meters if I had to guess). I'm sure it will come down to me just testing it, but does anyone have any experience with switching bands with this setup?

If anyone cares, I switched the bridging to 2.4GHz & all is good.

2.4 def has better range. With high gain antennas you can send it a long way. I setup one shooting 5 miles line of site on ubiquiti. Been working solid with high throughput for years.
