I predict the IoT will bring us much more of this type of consumer experience. We're just getting started.

Harry,
What does this have to do with IoT?

The Samsung washer problem is a mechanical problem. These devices don't use IoT. That's why I wonder why you're saying this is the kind of thing we can expect with IoT.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

No wonder why you're out of date...

I know this is from GE, but these washer and driers communicate with each other.

So washer and driers are becoming IoT.

GE has introduced a whole line of IoT appliances. And of course, so has Samsung, with their Hub refrigerator.

Here is a five year old article about Samsung washer and dryers with wifi and a smartphone app.

I know us guys won't understand it. Mostly because we're bald, but also cuz we don't care.

To be honest... what is not an IoT now a days?

Sorry Ernie, apparently that went right over your head... did you hear the big "Wooosh?" lol

Do you have a lot of senior moments?
I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's AV trouble, a man alone.

I don't know which is more disturbing. The fact that these condoms were made, or the fact that you knew about them Fins.

I think when you are concerned about treating sex as an exercise, rather than what it is - something has gone horribly wrong.

[edit]: I just told my girl about this. "Can we order one". WTF! Now I'm scratching my head, maybe there was a female behind the marketing for this product. Hmmm....

DO NOT USE DISH HOME APPLIANCE REPAIR!

They currently require a $100 "Diagnostic Fee" prior to coming out. We knew our issue was due to a fan failure and had them come out to replace the part and they never ran a diagnostic procedure on the oven. We spent multiple hours on the phone getting the run-around trying to get reimbursed to no avail.

I would strongly question why anyone of 1/2 intelligence would even consider hiring a sketchy satellite installer to fix his appliance.

I mean, do you call the gardener to fix the ceiling fan? The plumber to fix your transmission on the car? The barber to fix the toilet?

Or even a respectable non-sketchy satellite installer.

Brad, what made you look up this post and add to it? It's been left alone for a year!

edit: I see it. A new member resurrected this thread and you just added to it.
