If you replied to my earlier post it double posted from my phone and got deleted. I didn't get a chance to read those replies.

Thanks in advance

Mini coax as in 5 wire mini coax/rgbhv, etc? Last time I went looking for one they were very scarce maybe out of production across the board. I'd like to know if you find a source other than eBay/used.

Gold: AJA Video. Broadcast grade. They make a series of HDMI converters depending on your need:

Silver: Apantac, Decimator, Matrox

Bronze: Black Magic Designs. Some budget options that generally work well enough. They do support UHD on a single cable, although at shorter distances. They do fail now and then, but they are cheap.

Everyone else: Monoprice, Gefen, Startech, Aten, Datavideo, TVOne, KanexPro, Swit.

Use Belden 1855A with ADC BNC-13 connectors.

I'm lucky enough to never have to deal with HDCP. Not sure if there are any options there. I am curious why you wouldn't just use HD Base-T? Don't get me wrong, I think coax is far superior, but AV integrators usually go right for the HD Base-T.

Beautiful beach home but not such beautiful wiring. the current system I am ripping out has 6 conductor mini Coax from the rack to every TV location with no alternative wires in place. HDbaseT would be my goto.

Same thing with the audio zones. Wired for Abus with no alternative.

2 story, can not get new wire in place but I've got most everything worked out nicely. just need the best possible solution for HDMI distribution.

Too many bad things to list on this one.

I'm Not bashing the company that wired this place or accusing anyone of doing crap work but the people who did this job should not be doing AV and they do crap work. I give them credit for finding workarounds to work around their workarounds but good god it took me nearly 2 hours just to wrap my head around what they have going on.

Well, you could either do 4 wire UHD or single wire UHD, but 4 wire will be more robust. I think HDCP could be a major problem for any of the brands I am familiar with. I'm not familiar with a coax extension that will do that, but I'll be interested if someone comes up with an extender that supports HDCP.

Of course, there are products that can strip/spoof HDCP. Yellobrik and apantac come to mind.

Etheral has the M3B coax HDMI solution. We have used it where coax was run and no CAT5. Presently only does not do 4K. Call Brent and see if it will work on mini coax and the distances.
If you are going to do the job...why not do it the right way?
