I have not seen this on the customer site. They sent me a pic asking what to do since it was beeping and flashing replace battery. Google leads me to believe iis for the uverse back up? Never seen one before. Also, some forums in the search said replacing battery can cause issues. Ideas or suggestion on what it is and how to stop the beeping? Looks like part number 3EM22993AA

Most ONT and gateway boxes I've seen from the providers have battery backup similar to a UPS. I'm guessing it's beeping because...the battery needs to be replaced or power has been disrupted and they are almost out of juice.
