Devialet Gold Phantom (4500 Watts) [Link: amazon.com]

Start at 50 sec mark and can see them in action.

I don't even have a comment on this thing. Not sure what to say lol.

Best sound in the world. Ya probably not.

Ah. It took a lot of scrolling, but it's 14" x 17" x 23" and weighs 28 pounds.

Sigh. It's probably worth a listen.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Imagine how many people think how good they sound after watching the video on their ipad/phone or cheap smart tv.

They actually sound pretty freaking fantastic. The bass output is extraordinary.

We heard these at CEDIA. They are very cool, and punch above their weight (size.) I only heard them in Devialet's demo room, so I can't build a real world opinion, but I was impressed, and some of our techs were blown away. It was the demo they were talking about weeks later.

I saw these demo'd at the Rocky Mountain HiFi show, the whole room jumped when they thumped. Seriously give them a listen.

Hmm, the Diaglog Hub will allow muilti room connection, up to 24 speakers.

Could this be Sonos on the next level? *rolls eyes*

The reviews I've read make this seem like a not so great purchase.

Lot of money for a single speaker that doesn't sound a lot better than others costing less, and a company that has pretty poor support, doesn't sound like a winner.

I bet every one of those positive reviews is fake or from a Vine.

The question I want to know...how much for the Platinum version?

I flew out of Newark last month and noticed that they have about 50 of the Silvers mounted in the various Food & Beverage areas.  I was pretty shocked.  They sound pretty good even in that environment.  Quality active DSP speakers tend to sound pretty great at all volume levels.  Prodigious bass for sure.

Basing your opinion of how a speaker will perform because of how it looks is dumb. Do you judge a TV's picture quality on how the TV sounds?
