I"m a hobbyist with pretty good knowledge, but have just gotten in over my head consideing the time I have with my new iPronto. I bought it to replace my IRIQ.
I have the following gear:
Gateway 42” Plasma TV (Don't yell at me, I know!!!)
Scientific Atlanta Explorer HDTV Cable Box
Yamaha DSP3090 AMP
Pioneer Elite DVR-57H (TIVO)
Pioneer DVD/Laserdisc DVL-700
Toshiba SVHS VCR
Ideally, I want to have activities and macros with discrete codes control things like “Watch” TV, “Watch HDTV”, “Watch DVD” etc. My girlfriend says if I die she’ll never figure out how to watch TV!!! You get the picture!!
As I said, I am fairly proficient at all this, but just don’t have the time.
