HDMI issues by symptom and which magic gadget should fix it and why.

Today a Roku4 gave the same symptom as op had. Says either a cable or the TV are not 2.2 compliant. Roku through MHX cable to Integra DTR40.7 thru MHX cable to Samsung UN49KS8000.

Updated firmware on Samsung, no help.

MHX cable direct to TV will let me switch to both 4K modes fine.

I ran out of time so didn't get to update the Integra.
