Whoa "tough guy" who the hell came by and pissed in your weaties? Time of year got you down? You've been a member since 2012 with 80some posts and you come down on a highly respected and very helpful member here for no reason other then saying relax? Jeeze...it's so sad, and so many people wonder why we're not regarded as a real trade amungst builders and other trades. It's because so many people like you get all sensitive with your panties in a bunch when somone steps in your "world of Warcraft" zone...

Grow up....Jeeze.

I've been a member since long before 2012. I don't remember my old username or password. I don't care how long someone has been on this forum. I'm not impressed by post counts. I've been doing this a long time and don't have patience for pompous blowhards or others who run to soothe feelings. I don't get your world of warcraft reference.

He didn't say anything nearly that offensive. I'm just not a fan of being attributed something I didn't say. And the "bro" crap was a dig - plain and simple. I let him know I'm not his bro. Don't try to pin the problems we have "as a real trade amungst builders and other trades" on me - you might be projecting a bit. I've been doing this for over seventeen years. I don't need your public scolding.

I said nothing as a dig to you, ever. If you perceive someone calling you bro as a dig, then perhaps you need to pay your gynecologist a visit and get the wadded panties that are stuffed up there removed. Fvck this place is getting harder and harder to have a conversation without some lady getting all bent out of shape.

So, back on site. Changing channels on DirecTV takes min 15 max 22 seconds for the pic to sync. Is this typical for a Yamaha RX-A1040? I am an Integra guy. This seems way too long.

Updating firmware now.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

The Yamaha splash screen is generated post everything else in the HDMI circuit - so actually, it would have to be completely dead to not even get a splash screen.

Not true. The splash screen is the default, but it can be turned off via the menu. That may be what has happened if you get a white screen (IIRC) instead of those Steinway guts.

3Pedal, it's amusing when pretty much ANY of us get offended at something said here.

I never said it couldn't. I shared my opinion from real world experience. It's pointless to post on here. I just let you guys yell at Ernie.

Now THAT is humor!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
