this is for my house. My home is a ranch with ALOT of windows, Im having an issue during the day My t-stat reads the wrong interior temperature due to the 16ft window. my home is an open concept so not to many walls to put the stat/sensors.

My home is well insulated and the windows are all anderson high efficient windows. Is it possible to put 3 temperature sensors in and average them together? Zoning is out of the question and the long term plan is todo shading but I need something more immediate.

I have hydronic base board heat and forced air cooling!

C4 t-stat is version 2 by aprilaire!

TIA

If you can get wires there, you can average 4 (or more) sensors together. Otherwise, switch to Lutron and you can use up to 5 wireless sensors per repeater and average them. You'll have to add a Ra2 main repeater, but would also gain the ability to use Lutron Occ/Vac sensors, and visor controls.

If you really want to use the C4 thermostat and retrofitting wires isn't possible, you might be able to use HL software thermostat driver paired to CardAccess devices and then use the Master Thermostat driver to combine/average them. The software thermostats would just be dummies for temp feedback to the master driver

ecobee 3 thermostat with remote sensors will accomplish what you're looking for natively.

good driver too.

I have thought about trying these out.. The placement of thermostats in my house is stupid so the master bedroom runs a good 5 degrees hotter

Mine as well. Placed in hallways where no one congregates and always feels warmer there then in our great room where everyone sits.

Initial cost kind of sucks for the ecobee and sensors but they definitely do work well.

Why is this? Are the v2 Thermostat's remote sensors good?

My only complaint is that the v2 thermostat should also had an ethernet port not only zigbee.

No Idea.. There are tons of zigbee sensors that have temp sensors in them too. It would be nice if you could pop a few in and bind them to be a sensor for the thermostat

They're the Aprilaire sensors and work well.

I can fish anywhere I want because I have a basement and attic (joys of a ranch)

Can I use Lutron seetouch thermostat with wired temperature sensors instead of wireless?

I'm trying to make my house as wall acne free as possible. Wish I could put sensors in the ceiling but we all know that doesn't work! :P

Sounds like this is almost doable! I have a bunch of see touch stats ive been trying to sell with a main repeater!

C4 needs to up their game!

Up their game in regards to what? You've said you have the c4-therm and now state you can fish wire anywhere. I've already pointed you to the knowledge base that references the ability to average temp across multiple Aprilaire 8051 sensors. BTW the 8052 duct/outdoor sensor(s) can be part of the equation as well, they both read the same/resistance. What am I missing here that you need in addition to that?

Sorry, this is exactly what I needed! Missed your post! So its essentially just a gigantic loop?

By step up their game I meant being able todo this within software. Seems like it would be pretty simple todo!

I'll just home run all of the sensors in the can and loop them together with DIN rail!

I just saw a client that needs wireless remote temp sensor to control conventional HVAC system. C4 T-Stat would be installed in garage, next to the HVAC unit.

I contacted C4 but so far, they're telling me it can't be done.

How does C4 as an integration company, in 2016, not have the ability to take one of the ZigBee wireless temp sensors and bind it to the T-Stat in composer so that I don't have to create 100 lines of programming?
