whats a simple analog matrix. Is C4's about as simple as it gets? Needs to be networkable and have a driver for C4...

Normally i use zektor but just need something stupid simple with no frills for a job.

Was that four channels and sources, or 64? It might matter.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

If you want really cheap and simple, use the audio chain in a composite or component video switch. If there are no IR drivers in C4, you have a limited number of commands to learn. Sure there are audio only switches of similar ilk, but they are harder to find and there will not be much cost difference due to the relative production scale.

The C4 is cheap enough that ir really shouldnt make sense to use anything else unless you need to go more than 16x16

It works great. Super reliable.

Personally for the price difference I would get the Zektor
It also provides more a more future proof design
For me using more universally controlled products are a must

13 channels input, 25 output. That's 10 stereo sources in, 3 mono in, 2 stereo zones out, and 21 mono zones.

Can you find a good option for this combo?

I might start looking if ThreeP confirms your SWAG.

Since you have both... More or less than the Zektor?

Zektor for consumer audio is superb. Folks will attest on controllability, great support, nice guys, sound quality, etc. Available through the factory or my favorite supplier.

BSS is a robust pro level device. Recent client installed it in a well known recording studio for switching purposes.

Different animals. But since we don't know what the customer wants, and someone wisely came up with an unusual in/out request, I suggested BSS.

In our world, your request is not unusual.

You can set any of our inputs or outputs to mono, in any combination. So 10 stereo inputs, 3 mono inputs, 2 stereo outputs, an 21 mono outputs is no problem. It would use 13 inputs and 23 outputs, with I/O to spare on our 16x32 switch.

This is already supported by our Control4 driver. Just a few clicks on the Properties page and your ready to go. This is also available in our Crestron and RTI driver.

We are certainly at a different level than BSS, but the example given falls easily within our capabilities which is why we are widely used in commercial and residential projects.
