You know the odds are very good that the guy is a member here right?...

Now we can spend a few posts trying to guess who it is. Since I hardly know any of you except by your anonymous names (like Hasbeen and Fins), it could be anyone. You guys who've communed and know names can tell us who it can't be. I'll start by saying it ain't me or anyone I know!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Having been in the AV Guys boots for nearly 50 years I know what Customers ASK for and know it's not the best placement for this unit is a good example.
Customers are always right don't bet on that at all! The Customer wanted his five TV sets in difficult places. To try and accommodate HIS request the poor AV Guy cops it. When to me what appears to have been RIPPED off the wall by an angry money hungry Customer and pay for it is wrong. I have been there and lost only a few times in My 50+ years of contracting. The AV Guy shouldn't have had to pay!!

Here in Australia, we don' set the Peoples Court until a year later, so, sorry I'm late posting.
You have to remember the Customer ASKED him or told him to put the TV's in the drywall?
I have been in the AV Guys boots for 50+ years. The Customer is equally at fault.

So if a customer tells a boat builder to put a hatch in the bottom of the boat. The builder should do it because the customer asked for it? That's just stupid.

The installer was a stupid idiot, plain & simple. You don't put an articulating arm into just sheet rock, doesn't matter what the customer wants - it's wrong and doesn't get done that way.

50+ years? So you were doing Audio/Video systems in the mid 60's? Curious what you were installing back then? The only thing I remember my father telling me about those days, was installing a bunch of antennas for TVs. Adjusting TVs. And doing repair work on radios, TVs, etc.

Customer is hardly ever right.
This sentiment is largely a US concept.
So are things like tips, free water at restaurants and warrantless returns.
