I went next door to Verizon after a (bad) haircut. Asked to see the Pixel just for grins. I already had two brand new Moto G4s with AT&T (no contract).

But the Black Friday deal was too good to pass up the chance to try the Pixel. I think this deal is only good for those switching plans.

$240 ($10/month, down from $27)
Free Samsung tablet.
$200 gift certificate with the exchange of any old smart phone that works.

I would like to hear your feedback on the pixel.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

I was considering the pixel since I had to turn in my Note7. It lacks wireless charging which I wanted to keep so I went with a S7. Curious how you like the Pixel also. It's crazy to me that these high end phones (pixel, iphone, likely others) do not have wireless charging now. It is a feature I didn't really think I would care much about but I LOVE it. So convenient.

I've never had wireless charging, so I don't miss it. I think I'll start another thread on Pixel to get more feedback.

I didn't have it before the Note7 and thought another gimmicky feature. I was wrong. I have a wireless charging base on my night table. It is so nice to just plop it down. Our dog gets up in the middle of the night quite a lot, so I often use the phone flashlight rather then turn on the lights everywhere. It is very nice to grab the phone and go, and when I come back, not have to fiddle with a charging cord in the dark.

I briefly went with an iPhone 7 Plus before going back to the S7 and the charging cord was driving me crazy after 3 months of wireless charging.

What?

You don't have a lighting system set up with a "Dog needs to pee." scene button?

Man, that's just wrong. The least you could do is install a floor pad that triggers a ight and doggy door.... :-)

Well we ARE in a temp rental house....

I don't want the lights on. For one, I don't want to interrupt my wife's sleeping, two I think using the phone is just easier on the eyes when you get woken up.

That's $100 cheaper than it was on Friday. Mine came today, happy I retired my old 18v. The batteries weren't holding a charge anymore, the new 20v is so much torquier.
Hey, careful man, there's a beverage here!

I wish they made the batteries backwards compatible. I have quite a few 18v pieces. Would be quite expensive to replace the whole kit.

I started the switch a couple years ago and it was a pain until I got a replacement for all my 18v tools, but couldn't be happier. They have an adapter now that would ease the pain.

Have you seen the new 60v tools and batteries? The batteries are compatible with the 20v tools and you get 4x the runtime. I've been eying the 60v stud/joist drill!

Dave, If your kit has the 2ah batteries, get some 4 or 5's for the circular saw and recip.
