Has anyone taken the time to research codes for Hisense TVs?

I see more and more of those units around.

I got one for my own testing. I'm going to install it in secondary location (shop, garage, etc.).
I got a 55" 55H7C.

I don't see any codes whatsoever in Control4 composer, several in URC database that I'll have to go thru.

I know they purchased Sharp recently, but I also know they've been making glass and other OEM components for decades.

I'm open to IR, serial or IP control.

I submitted a ticket to Hisense tech support, but we all know how that usually goes.

I found on another forum where someone was looking for the code to program their all in one remote that one person said RCA codes work

Btw, Sams Club has Hisense on sale next weekend. Better hurry and find those codes before the calls come the following Monday

Casey, I tried all the codes that URC CCP had for RCA. The only ones that worked half a$$ decent were 004.

In the end, I created new driver using original remote and few codes from CCP database.
I'm missing discrete POn, POff, HDMI2, HDMI3 and HDMI4.

I've got it all working with few macros and for where and how this unit will be used, it'll work out just fine.

You know, if discretes exist, harmony would be the most likely to have them.

True, but since I haven't stepped up my game to that level yet, I'm relying on you to see if they exist

Try Qingdao codes, if they are in there. Hisense is one of the largest OEM manufacturers in the world. They make TV's for Sylvania, Magnavox, Philips, and others.

No Qingdao (or Kung Pao for that matter) but some of the others are listed. What a fun experiment. Why not just insist on using TV's that you know are controllable?

Chris, because I got it for my house, got a great deal, learned how to write a driver, like the picture and can serve the market that I live in.

I got response from Hisense.
My questions are in italic; Hisense is in bold.

Thank you for contacting Hisense. To answer your questions;
1.    Raw codes for IR control. Hex or Pronto codes are fine. See attached for Discrete IR Codes.
2.    Does the service port (3.5mm) support serial control? No, Hisense TVs do not support Serial Control.
3.    IP control. What format do you use for IP control? No, Hisense TVs do not support IP Control.

So far, I tested the POn, POff and HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3, HDMI4 commands and they all work flawlessly.
I am having some issues with few codes (Vol+, Vol-) that I'm working with them on, but in the meanwhile, I learned those and now have a fully functional driver.
I will post driver here once I'm done testing/fixing all the codes.

Just use the most recent sharp codes you can find and you should have a good chance.

Howdy all.

Just digging this one up to see if anyone has made any solid progress on Hisense discretes?

I've got a small C4 job tomorrow with a Samsung on one side of the wall and a Hisense on the other.

Would love to hear if any of you have managed to confirm a solid codeset that's reliable.

Thanks in advance.

Robbie. :)
