Doing shots of 151 is the last thing I remember from one of the craziest nights of my life.

Now.... Ice Water.

After a night of barhopping, I bought Jason a double 151 & Kahlua at EHX years ago.

The results were amazing!

Take a glass add quality bourbon (I suggest something from Buffalo Trace). If you insist on 3 ingredients, add more bourbon.

The three ingredients, are Buffalo Trace, Cigar and someone to swap lies with!
Perfect night.

1.5 oz Cucumber Vodka
1.5 oz Jalepeno margarita mix
3/4 oz Campari

WELL shaken with ice. CRAZY good with a slight kick. If you like Campari. I made this up just last week and I love it.

As for "drinks" it's either Johnnie Walker Blue Label on the rocks or my usual IPA Beer.

I'm pretty predictable.

Jesus, I'm about to expose my inner bartender alcoholic.

Dean, I guess it takes a certain type of person to be a self punishing CI.

Deep eddy grapefruit and sprite. - Summer
Decent rye whiskey and hot tea. - Head cold
Quality bourbon and a little ice. - All year
Old fashioned. - evening
Sazarac. - random
Margaritas. - taco night
Moscow mule. - summer afternoon by the pool
Vodka rocks with slice of lime. - out of bourbon
Water. - The few nights a week that I don't drink.
Hey, careful man, there's a beverage here!

Bourbon is the best choice in the evenings. If you find a reasonable occasion to day drink (particularly on a hot day) a Kentucky Mule is acceptable.

I've heard that I got a little crazy the only time I did shots of 151 20+ years ago.
Fortunately, cell phones were only used for phone calls at that time!

I have a new one. Dewars Highlander honey scotch, ginger ale over ice. I added a bit of lemon. Pretty tasty.

Looking for a good drink. Just tried Jim Beam apple and club soda. Taste like crap. Like salad without dressing, steak without ketchup, canned tuna without mayo/relish. You get the idea. Not a big drinker, but looking for a good 3 ingredient max drink that taste pretty good. Not too sugary or extremely strong. Does it exist? LI tea is great but too many ingredients. Recall drinking my grandmothers drink when I was a kid. Maybe it was gin&tonic or some type of martini. Need expert opinions.

I don't know what your "go-to" is, but I would try to move you to rum or vodka. I really wore out the Jack sours in high school. To this day, twenty-some years later, I still can't get into whiskey or scotch.

So my first recommendation would be in the Captain Morgan family. The basic Captain 80 is pretty good with any cola, I do diet Pepsi no/caf at night. The same is true with Captain 100 (but one does have to be careful with the 100 proof.) Captain black is really good with Dr Pepper.

For more of a basic classic I would say vodka and tonic. I do a double Ketel One with a few ounces of tonic and a squirt of lime juice or slice if I have it.

If your putting ketchup on a steak your doing it wrong

I would have to agree with this. I worked in a kitchen at a restaurant when I was younger and I remember the waiter coming in stating that the person that just ordered the steak wanted ketchup with it, the waiter then said if they are going to put ketchup on a steak they may as well have ordered a burger.
You can't fix stupid

Ketchup on steak is awesome. Even better if you mix Texas Pete or Tabasco with it. Chef/cook is not paying for my steak. They put butter on steak before serving and I recall butter as a spread for plain old white bread. I did forget to mention I can not stand the taste of rum.
