What HiFi love them... so they must be terrible.
This industry is not getting cheaper and cheaper, we're simply convincing ourselves that we have to push the cheapest option to customers.

How long did British auto manufacturers ruin cars by using Lucas Electric (AKA 'Lucas Electric, Prince of Darkness')?
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

My car is not ruined with the devilish Lucas Electronics in it. I love my car.

Of course you know why the Brits drink warm beer?

They all own Lucas refrigerators.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

I was in Europe last year, the beer is most certainly not warm!

As far as the design goes...agreed. I hate installing these. As far as the sound, I have heard far worse. If you give them a good receiver/amp and paired with a decent sub they sound fine. Are they the best thing ever, of course not but they blow Bose away....if you didn't think so then I would highly recommend you talk your customer in to letting you go out with a decent receiver and compare before and after with them. Chances are you may get a sell out of it that the customer really appreciates.

You were not in the wrong part of Europe.

I've been known to do that. But, I found that if you drink your beer REALLY fast, you don't need the ice.
