If you want quality, go with anything but this POS. I'd buy from radio shack before i'd touch this thing ever again.

You're not fond of a heavy speaker that sounds like cheap plastic?

But, but, but it had "Experience stunningly clear stereo sound..." in the description! How could it be so bad?

A bit annoyed by people who proudly proclaim ownership of "Bowers And Wilkins" speakers when they were always referred to as "B & W" for decades. Must make them sound more special.

Client bought them at BB before they called us in for installation. We got stuck with them. The mounting system is by far the stupidest design I have ever experienced. There are no terminals, so when the mounting system snuggly grabbed the connector within the "stalk" that attaches the mount and wiring to the speaker and tore it's solder joint right out, it was an almost impossible task to fix. Had to use the table top stand, which uses and altered version of the same connection point, and tear it apart (it's made of metal, not easy to do while keeping the wiring intact). IT was a giant cluster F$%^. Now the client emailed to say the rear speakers are coming away from the wall. Had to use anchors, but the weight and the angle of the speaker must be too much.

Face it, you're just not qualified enough to fit the hallow'd Bowers and Wilkins....

...only engineers trained by the gods themselves are considered worthy to install them, only then will they truly sound good ;-)
What do you mean you wanted it on the other wall - couldn't you have mentioned this when we prewired?

Blame it on those lame-ass Volvo commercials... didn't Lexus do the same thing with Bose a decade ago?

As for spund quality, this system sounded like a middy turd. This could be in part due to the clients older receiver, but I can't imagine a new power source making that much of a difference compared to how muddy these sounded.

"With a sub attached to the frame to make the car vibrate throughout."

So for owners near the ocean and/or in the snow belt. Does that mean this sub is going to vibrate the rust off in 5 or so years?

I hate to admit it, but I own a set of these! Had to sell my electrostatic speakers once the little one was able to crawl.

I absolutely HATE wall mounting these per the experience of the OP. I have mine sitting on top of my stand on either side of the TV. Paired them with a decent subwoofer and Marantz SR5009 and have been happy with them... or that might be the lack of sleep talking!

I spend a ton of time tweaking what little settings there are in the SR5009 to make myself happy with them.

Dude. I owned a pair of these and used them with a Martin Logan Dynamo sub and an old Sherwood receiver as my desktop computer audio system. They sound fine for what they are.

Also, I have wall mounted at least 8 sets for customers (used to work for a dealer). I never once had any issues with the wiring or mounting system.

Should have had the Geek Squad mount them? 😯

Biggest POS speaker ever. Guess you have magic hands then. Maybe we habe drastically different ideas of what sounds good. I'd take Episode 300 series bookeshelf speakers over these every day of the week. Last comment was below the belt dude

I helped Mike on this job! I can confirm, they are absolutely the worst design I have ever even encountered. The way these things mount is just stupid, and the fact they use a little RCA that is too tight so when you continually pull them on and off for adjustment they run the risk of breaking (one did,as we were finishing up) it was absolutely painful installation, fortunately between the two of us we managed to fix it.

As far as them pulling off the wall...the base that mounts to the wall is so tiny that you can barely get two good anchors in there. Overall the design is just beyond idiotic. They also sound terrible, I have to say, I honestly think a Bose system would sound far far better then these!
