We ate at a restaurant today and where we were seated, I had this directly in front of me. I've never seen this on a projector before and couldn't figure out what would be wrong

I would say, any player putting personal achievements above team success is the problem. Very selfish path for a player to take

Yes, but I was wondering more about the yellow tint

Is this a smoke free environment? Or if smoking is allowed... then that could be that disgusting crap. And this is coming from an 11 year smoker who hasn't had a cigarette in nearly 6 years.

The place is smoke free. The projector was a Sanyo, kind of big compared to most Sanyo projectors I've seen, but I have no idea what the age is on the projector. They had another projector that had the same problem, but not as severe yet.

If it's component, looks like blue is missing.

No, because the problem isn't on the whole screen. Look at the upper left corner, and you will see the yellow fades away. Unfortunately, that doesn't show up very well in the photo though. But if you look close, you can see how the yellow tint is worse to the center of the screen, like a hot spot or something.

I've seen several rear pro TVs and front projectors look similar when the bulbs needed replacing. I think they were all DLP. Not sure what technically causes it though.

Looks like the color space is wrong. Either the 'auto' setting isn't picking up the right signal or it is set to RGB/PAL/etc. with a video source.

If LCD, then the blue Polorizer is going out. If DLP, then I would agree with bulb.

Nevermind. The more I look at it, the more I would need to see that in person to even guess at what it could be.

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Look in the upper left corner, and you can tell that blues are there. My guess was that the bulb is ready to be replaced, but I've never seen this specific issue.

Also, TSS, I'd say you are right, the brand has something to do with it. I have no idea how old the projectors actually are, the place used to be a Rockola.
