I recently did a Sunbrite outdoor TV with an Atlona HDMI balun. Sunbrite used to have a large cavity on the back where you could put the balun but the new model has a much smaller cavity and the balun doesn't fit. I used a PVC enclosure and put the balun in it. The balun was getting hot so I drilled a couple holes in it for ventilation which helped. I want to think there must be a better way. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

The Signature series has a huge enclosure in the back -- big enough for a small cable box. The brand new Veranda series has a very large enclosure as well.

I'm guessing that you installed the original standard series, which had a very small enclosure that was pretty much worthless.

The model number was a SB-6570HD-BL. The balun would fit but it covered all the connectors so you couldn't plug in the HDMI.

Send it out to Sealoc. They can waterproof anything. They are doing a TSR302 for me, and I've used them in the past for DM receivers. Great company.

The siginature series is most definitely not a large enclosure. The Binary 520 series HDBT extender will fit and allow you to connect to the lower HDMI1 port. I've done it twice now, one on a 55" signature series and once on a 65" signature series.

The one I can confirm fits is the B-520-RX-230-IR

We did a SB6560HDBL back in 2013 and in the 1st year we had to trade out the Atlona HDMI balun twice because it kept failing. I'm guessing from heat as the Sunbrite was mounted on a deck in direct Texas sunlight.

After Atlona crapping twice(Atlona support SUCKS btw) within a year, we went with Wyrestorm balun and all has been good since. Wyrestorm balun was a tight fit in Sunbrite enclosure but it works.
I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's AV trouble, a man alone.

I took the case off a JAP POE receiver and was able to fit the board of it inside a 32" Sunbrite.Oh, and by the way... EXTENDERS!

We have had Sealoc do RadioRa2 switches, HDMI Extenders, Liteware (litetouch) keypads.

They have a program now where you can buy a machine and sealoc about anything on your own now
