I installed a HD Tivo in a home where they had a Standard Def Tivo. The other TVs in the house were fed from the RF out on the SD tivo. Now that the HD Tivo is installed without an RF output I am screwed.

This is what I do know:

I could modulate but if 720 or 1080 is selected than no output on the Composite video out.

There isn't a discrete for 480 to 1080 or to 720 so I cant use a macro.

Any Ideas??

Your better off putting the SD Tivo back in and just using both. You can get a Discrete to ONE format(Setup menu on TIvo allows you to se tthe Up arrow button to a discrete picture mode... 480i/p/720.1080), but not a reliable Switche between 2.....

I actually got one of those to output 1080i and 480i at the same time by toggling the front panel resolution button. You will notice that 1080 stays lit for two button presses. Give that a try and let me know what you get.

Best,

Easton

The unit when switched to 720 or 1080 always switches off the composite and s-video feeds.
