Hi AV World!!

Thanks for everyone's support in opinions on this matter.. Happy to report the problem is resolved.. Tech error lol.. After reviewing the Cec functions here's what I found out:

When the Apple TV 4th generation would go to sleep the tv would turn off, even if you were watching a different source which in this case was the Xfinity X-1..

The older Apple Tv's you could disable sleep mode not on the 4th generation.. So disabling Cec on the Tv has resolved our issue..

**How I determined **
I turned the tv on to cable and switched inputs manually to Apple TV and had the cursor on sleep now then I switched inputs back to cable and when I pressed sleep on the Apple TV the tv turned off in the middle of cable allowing me to relive The customer experience..
Thank You Guys!!!!

Perfect response!

You could get an older Crestron gateway and have the 980 work through the Crestron CP3 therefor only needing 1 IR emitter on the TV.

CNRFGWA for 433mhz or the CNRFGWA-418 for 418mhz.

What he said. We just finished a project using URC 780s and one of the Crestron Gateways that will work with it (CP3 processor as well). It works flawlessly and the range is incredible. It worked from outside through several walls including brick from at least 40 feet away.

Concerning the issue with the tv turning off...what other guys said. CEC issue maybe. A setting somewhere. We use Samsung TVs as often as possible and don't have problems with them doing this. Not sure if we've installed any 9800s though (I gotta start paying attention to model numbers from now on).

Oops. I forgot to read the rest of the posts after this. Glad you got it fixed. Look into those Crestron gateways, though for future use. They're no joke.
Everyone should learn something new every day.
