I guess this is the first time this year I have not been able to hardwired Ethernet to this particular series of Samsung, specifically the 65KS9000.
The firmware was updated right of the box, but I had to hardwire it to get that done which I thought very odd. The Unifi puck (no more than 20' and one normal wood frame wall away) would show up in the list but showed no signal strength. Tv would initially connect then say no internet.
Anyway after running a temp lead I updated. The wifi network showed up correctly, full strength this time, and connected right up. Only problem was, consistently, once YouTube started up for example, this TV would seem to drag the UPA's throughput completely to a halt and eventually lock it up. The rest of the network continued to work but as far as the UAP I could watch speedtests right on my phone and watch it screech to a halt every time I made the TV try to stream anything at all. We're talking 50M dropping down to 1M in about 5 seconds.
It would seem to hog all of the bandwidth until I cut power to the TV or possibly when I backed out of apps. Sometimes it would lock up the WAP requiring a reset on that.
Bizarre incompatability? If so it seems like someone would have already been on here talking about it.
