I was messing around with someone's Harmony today and I swear it was able to turn off Apple TV during system off. I'm pretty sure I've seen this before on other Harmony controlled systems. Is there some hidden command the rest of us are oblivious to?

A 5 second help play/pause command puts the last generation to sleep. Don't know if it works on ATV 4.

Oh right I forgot about that. I used to be able to simulate a hold command on RTI by spitting out the command a few times.

I've never turned mine off. It goes to sleep on its own and you can set the delay in settings.

And there is an extended command set in it that might have the sleep command that Harmony has learned.

The RTI My Device AppleTV 4 driver is capable of hold commands on any button I believe.

It would be cool if there was an extended command for sleep. Would be almost as good as that reboot command I think

Not unless there is a discrete wake command
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.

Pressing Menu wakes it.

Considering that many clients think the system is broken when they start the Apple TV and have a black screen, just leave the thing on and have it never sleep.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

This

Although I have found a few of the newest generation that I will swear revert the sleep setting back to the factory setting.

OP - it could be CEC on the tv telling the Apple tv to sleep

If you are using a macro just have the first command of the ATV command to be Select. That will turn it on hopefully in time before the rest of the macro is finished. Or just turn it on as part of every startup macro.
