Seeing how I am an electrician and in Connecticut. I'll help you install the generator.

Oh, and I'll bring my wireless speaker for some tunes seeing how my iPhone 7 plus doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack. lol

I use earbuds a lot - working, driving, at the gym - and they DO wear out over time. I don't want to shell out another $159 to replace something that was once included.

I have a cordless drill. It came with 2 batteries, because they know it makes sense to have one charging while the other is in use. I think the novelty of these wireless earbuds is going to wear off when they're about 5 hours old.

So what is wrong with using the included adapter?

What's wrong with giving people a headphone jack? Oh yeah, money.

Well for one, you can't charge your phone and use the jack at the same time.. At least not with the included adapter.

If this becomes a problem for you it might be time to buy an iPod. You really should have a dedicated device if you cant take your headphones off for two hours every day.

Just make sure it's not an iPod shuffle... As they are charged through the headphone jack. lol

If a dedicated music listener buys a shuffle after whining about not being able to wait while their phone charges...the problem they have isnt audio hardware related. Its something inside their brain.

There is also something wrong in the brain with all the apple fans standing in line for half a day to buy a new phone.

This is step one in a larger plan that only makes sense when part 3 is announced.

Apple yesterday added Sonos Play1 and Play5 to their stores.
Why?
Most likely, because they need speakers to sell Apple Music subscriptions.
Why not their own rumored system, cause they are a way's off, or they shelved that project.
Why not the Play3... cause it's the old model in the line? perhaps going to be changed soon?

Just reading between the headlines.

Before the iPhone you bought and carried around your blackberry, your digital camera, your digital voice recorder, your GPS, your iPod and so on and so forth.

Thanks to apple (and the companies that copied them) you have 1 device to buy and carry around.

Nice.

Anyway, the thing I like most about the factory Apple earbuds is that I can listen to music or a podcast while working and it'll pause it when a call comes in. I don't miss calls. It's a mic/ play/pause/answer button and volume control. It's a nice level of integration, IMO, and I don't see it needing any improvement.

To be completely fair, I haven't used the new wireless units (they're not out yet, are they?), so who knows? Apple does have a way of making certain things work in a 'better than expected' sort of way.

Fvck using an adaptor. That's just ridiculous. Fvck going and buying more headphones because Apple wants you to buy new headphones. Fvck using stupid ear buds. Hate them. There is zero forward thinking behind this move. It's purely to sell more boxes. Theres nothing archaic behind a 3.5mm jack. It works, everytime. HDMI we forward thinking too. FVCK HDMI (that's right Mac, FVCK it)

You don't have to buy new headphones! It comes with the phone, if you have to have over the ear ones plug the adapter into them and LEAVE IT connected. That's a novel idea isn't it? If your worried about charging and using headphones at the same time then perhaps you should change phones so the battery lasts, I am stunned at how long the battery lasts on my 7! And that's with a shit load of battery draining apps running in the background!

I am no apple fanboy, after the awful experience with the note3 and my brother constantly having to get a new android (droid turbos) the choice is very clear that apple just makes better hardware, and software. Who cares about this adapter thing, it's a bandwagon issue..

You could walk that back to...

...something wrong in the brain with human beings needing a super computer in their pockets...that causes them to whine about a headphone jack.

We made it a long time without smartphones. You can still get walkmans on ebay. I don't understand what all the crybaby nonsense is about. Man up America. Carry the apple adapter for your headphones or don't. Why would you update your phone knowing that a new design feature (or flaw) is going to cause your panties to get so twisted up your butt? When did it become okay for grown men to act like 15 year old girls?
