Control4 system , two Samsung UN65KS8000 TV's are being controlled via the ExLink port and all commands work except when I try to power up the TV from standby,  the first time I hit watch Tivo or Apple TV the TV doesn't turn on , until I hit Room Off and then Watch Tivo again . Same issue on both TV's . Looks like the TV needs to receive the Power On command twice  , before it actually turns on .Has anyone else experienced this issue ? Tried using different drivers makes no difference , currently using the one for the 2015 JU7100 series .
Thx

Have been experiencing this same issue. At first I thought it was RS232 length but finally did one that was super short and had the same issue. Had to switch to IR. Very annoying.

We've been doing the same with a Crestron system and have had inconsistent results with Samsung TVs. Looks like the Crestron module we've been using is looking for feedback and therefore was working inconsistently. Switched over to microbug IR sensor.

Some of the Samsung's shut down the processor for IP commands after POWER OFF.

Have you tried a firmware update?

On a related note we got a surprise on a job with 7 KU6300 series. They no longer have an ExLink port. Hopefully we'll be seeing IP control on 2016 models soon.

If you search google for Samsung screen upside down and

This and other videos like it show you how to clone your tv and tell it it is a different model, activating the rs232.

I swear it works but there is a chance of bricking the tv if you tell a 65" curved tv it is a 32" lcd and other types of mismatches.
