I just had a similar experience with DirecTV and a $300 Samsung. Makes me want to take a DirecTV remote to the store to try it out before buying a TV!

Lessee, here.... supply a $300 TV and spend $850 of my own time looking for codes that don't exist, but might, versus supplying a $500 TV and being done that afternoon. I supply no more cheap TVs. Cheap TVs ain't cheap.
