Hi,

What do you consider inexpensive?

Search on "acrylic sheet" and you will get all kinds of hits.

Example:

I need four pieces, 30" wide and 5' to 6' tall. I could get by with three pieces. Wish I could find it for about $100 for all of it. I might could get by with 48" tall.

We have a place here call Industrial Plastics that have branches all over. Any size of plexi you could want. Don't know if they're in the US.

I'm not familiar with them if they are. The big box hardware stores have some selection, but it's very expensive.

How thick?

I don't think $100 is going to be possible.

It doesn't have to be thick, but I do need something durable. It's for my son's scout pack. We don't have a huge budget for stuff like this. I may have to buy the materials myself and donate it.

Basically, I'm trying to build this, but painted to look like a popcorn popper

Hi,

Going with .080 x 30" x 60" three sheets is $127.

Going with .062 x 30" x 60" three sheets is $98.

But those are pretty thin.

That might work. I'd probably need about 4 of them to cut up.

We used to get plexiglass very cheap for the CRT projection TVs from the local glass/window replacement company. The few TVs that had a protective sheet over the lenticular and fresnel screens were salvagable. Anyway...the local glass people would custom cut and deliver the screens for a very reasonable price. This was 9-10 years ago, so I don't remember the amount.

Is it a one-off single use? Could you use heavy mill cling wrap like they use to wrap pallets? It's close to transparent when stretched tight. Stretch 3 static sides and make a door frame for the back. Decorate and done

No, I want this to be reusable. Probably use it every week during our popcorn sales period, and then may use it for other events from time to time.
